Splitting from its ancestor, the gilded gildring has spread to the beaches of Mason Polar Sea. Tinting the sand a pale yellow due to their numbers, they grow alongside the colonies of their more coral-like cousins. They have developed segmentation in their multicellular bodies, and this body is covered in a shell that is similar to that of the testudiatoms on Sagan4. They are capable of surviving in water, though typically only within a meter of the shoreline. Their porous center is where the spores are produced during high tide.
