The network stiltbulb replace their ancestor, and have spread throughout the entire island. In response to the massive increase in UV radiation, the stiltbulbs have developed a silvery, reflexive coating around their main bodies, protecting them from harm. Their stalks have moved underground, and are now interconnected with every other stiltbulbs in the tundra, this allows for the exchange of nutrients through the hollowed stalks, which have a twenty diameter tunnel, half full of saturated water, half oxygen. These are stored for the winter months, where both nutrients and oxygen will be lacking in the night. The Tundra Gelatus is also starting to be incorporated into the network, as their root-rings are drawn to the moisture within the stalks.
