Splitting from its ancestor, the jetswimmer has taken to a life as a free-living filter-feeder. Passing water through its gut and shooting it out of its anus in rapid controlled bursts, its jets through the water, allowing it to out swim darters. Seeing as it would starve if its food was squirted out as it swims, it possesses a secondary gut system where food is sent after getting caught in a feathery filtering system in its throat, allowing water to pass on to the primary gut. The limbs have atrophied into stabilizers, though they are capable of limited movement, which in turn allows them to float in space. While very quick, they are not very agile compared to other swimming species.
